Elite 6" Freelock Safety Boot

Original pair weren’t waterproof sent those in for Warranty. Got my replacement pair feet hurt all the time. I wore many types of boots while I was in the Canadian Armed Forces and these Blaklader boots are junk. There is no midsole support, these are like wearing running shoes with a composite cap, these are not made for construction work. Please correct this problem Blaklader.

Sizing is terrible on these. I wear an 11.5 so bought the 11-11.5 - they fit very tight (didn't want to try breaking them), so I sent them back for the 12 and the whole while wondering if the toe box would be adequate. The biggest complaint I have is the toe box, there just isn't enough room. It's crazy to me there are no options for wide feet in the entire lineup of boots/shoes they offer. The 12's fit decent enough but the design of the toebox rubs my big toes the wrong way after about 6 hours. I am dying to get out of these when I get home, unlike other boots that I will wear all day long including after work.
I really wanted to like this boot because it's very comfortable when I first slip into them, and I love the freelock lacing system - main reason I wanted these because I am in and out of customers' homes and this makes it very easy to get in and out of your boots. But overall, the boot is not for me.

Very comfortable and strong

More of a hiking boot than a work boot

Used these boots for about a year and I am very happy with them. They were essentially waterproof for about 9 months which fared better than most of my boots. I used them daily and the stitching and soles lasted this whole time. The locking mechanism has never failed. I like these better than the BOA because it opened wider making it easier to put on. Photos are a full year of use.

Journeyman Electrician. I have gone through some boots in my time, most didn't last very long and 1 pair did ok (CAT brand surprisingly) but they all suffered similar issues. Immediate comfort and fit were always forefront of these issues. However I read carefully the directions for sizing correctly and ordered the 10/10.5 size, and when they arrived they fit like a glove and felt as though they didn't need a break in. The Freelock system is easy to don and doff which is something I do as I go into multiple customers homes per day to switch footwear, and I'm seriously considering getting a pair of the matching shoes to have as my indoor footwear. They only thing I have to see is longevity, but if Blaklader legendary pants are any indicator we should be good for a couple years.

They fit and feel great. The lacing system works great. Nice and warm in the snow and plenty of traction.

The best boots I've ever owned!

First time taking my boots off and the BOA popped right off. Two return request later, and still no reply. Not upset about BOA coming off, stuff happens. Support is what was the real bummer. Three support tickets and no reply. Had to do a chargeback.

These are the star of the show! I’m in and out of the house all day and they come off/on so fast and easy. They release fully letting your foot slip right out and then snug up with a couple turns of the wheel. The way the boot sucks the tongue up is so satisfying. 1 week in and they are killer

These boots leak when I work in the rain, and the laces frequently come loose, which has caused me to twist my ankle multiple times. I eventually stopped wearing them after suffering a sprained ankle. I only used them for two weeks

I really like the design, but I feel that the part of the cap bothers me a little, everything else is super good.
