Measure your favorite garment

If you are unsure which size fits you, measure your favourite garment at home and compare it to the garment measurements in the table above. Choose the size that fits best. Below you will find descriptions of how we measure our garments.

Incredible , best work pants ever worn after a less expensive one from blakladder . I just wish it had a bigger cordura patch on my right leg so my drill bit would not dig hole into my pants .

Great pants. Hopefully they are as durable as they are well designed as I have only been wearing for a couple weeks at work. Will definitely be getting another pair

Thinner that what I was expecting but still feel tough. I’m a 31, 31” so the 32, 30” is a tad large at waist but workable. Length is fine. I’m used to an older version much thicker , more cotton but these seem like a nice compromise- lighter.

Best work pants I have ever purchased. Flex panel in the crotch makes crouching easier. Reinforced knees and pockets for foam knee pads are not only convenient but a God send. Pockets are deep, secure and plentiful. I also appreciate the pull cords at the bottom of the legs to help keep out ticks when working in high grass.

awesome except for a seem on the crotch gusset has a scratchy bit that after a lot of movement it causes a sore in the worst spot i'm sure its a one off,the painter pants i have are the same style but i have no problems,in fact i love them.
great work pants great...good play pants.
very much recommend them.

Adding the word PRO to pants while at the same time making them worse for the professionals who use them in a lame attempt to sell more accessories is just insulting.

As a carpenter I loved my blaklader pants for years and numerous pairs. But then the shrieking harpies of capitalism insisted that a company which had done one thing perfectly for years and years change it in an attempt to sell some other stuff it has no experience in.

Two belt loops in front and behind the hip bone became one triple thick directly over the hip bone. Fewer belt loops mean the pants don't sit as well, but mostly the infernal Velcro loop for holding the blaklader hammer hook blocks where my clip on hammer holster sits. When I wear a full rig it's a big wad of fabric and stitching digging into my side.

All of this to sell more hammer hooks that leave your hammer handle banging off your knee with each and every step. I know zero PROs who wear a hammer like this, despite knowing carpenters who wear one just about every other way. Personally I love my jolly roger best.

Ironically the stitching holding this abomination is the first blaklader stitching I've had fail. It's a blessing, because I ended up just ripping the whole thing off, which is better, except now my pants fall down.

Ruined the perfect pants to sell useless garbage. Will return as a customer happily once this massive error has been corrected, but until then don't recommend what used to be my favorite work pants to anyone.

Good pants, last few years

Great pants! My new favorites. Waist line runs small so I recommend buying a one size larger. Also, I recommend washing them in a mesh bag to mitigate the velcro from attaching to your other clothes.

We all know why we buy blak lader, its the best & that hasn't changed in the 20yrs I've been buying them

These are the best work pants I have ever bought. I have had them for 2 years and still going strong. They haven't worn in the knees, no rips or tears, they are a little faded in color though. I'll take faded color over rips and tears any day. They are comfortable, plenty of pockets for pens and my work knifes, phone and other miscellaneous items. If you read this please try a pair, im telling you, you won't regret it.

I a solidly love those pants but the issu Ihave before ordering more is they all end up ripping at the rear pocket or in the crotch I have 6 pair that have failed with this common wear spot
I was hoping to talk to you rep about this matter at the spec mix regional in Calgary soon ex

Love the pants with the knee pads!

M
Mike Fannin

I like the pants, looks, comfort and the pockets. But I don’t like how the knee pad inserts are.I’m a plumber and when I go to my knees the pads are always on the outer side of my knee. It’s as if they should be sewn more to the outer side of the leg. It just takes time to adjust pants every time I go to kneel down. But all and all good pants.

I needed pants with lots of pockets but had grown tired of ones with enormous pouches. These looked good so ordered and have now worn for a couple of months. They turned out even better than I'd hoped and here are some of the reasons.

Very well made with reinforcements where needed, especially appreciate the gusset crotch after having ripped the seam on many a pair. The pockets suit very well for my collection of tools etc.: cell phone pocket is secured with velcro, pencil pockets with slits to weave through to prevent loss, back belt loop sewn on diagonally so as not to make a lump, hammer loop with snap to keep it tight to the side when not used, drawstring cuffs. I could go on...

Great pants!

Ripstop Pants Stone 34:30

New favourite everyiday pants! Pockets for every item: especially like the cell pocket - secure with velcro flap and in a handy place. The carpenter's pencil pockets surprisingly hold my pocket kife - keeping it from eventually wearing out the normal front pocket. Well made with lots of features to ensure long wear: especially the gusseted crotch panel and the reinforcing on the front pockets. An unexpected touch is the snap closing on the hammer loop so when not used it's tucked up tight and not out to snag on things. Bought two pair and glad!
